Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that visiting a new church can feel a bit overwhelming. Things like where to go, what to wear, or what to expect can sometimes get in the way of simply experiencing worship. We want to take that stress off your shoulders.

To help you and your family feel more comfortable and prepared, we’ve put together answers to some common questions below. Our hope is that this helps you feel at ease and fully able to enjoy your time with us.

How long do services last?

Each service on Sunday morning typically lasts about an hour. This includes music, teaching, and time of communion.

What should I wear Sunday morning?

Sunday mornings at Central are comfortable and casual. You’ll see everything from ties and dresses to jeans and hoodies.  Just come as you are; we’re glad to have you!

Is there anything for my kids on Sunday morning?

Yes, we’ve got something for every age! A nursery is available during both services for babies.. Our Children’s Ministry offers age-specific programs during the 10:45 service, as well as Sunday School at 9:45 for kids from 2  through 6th grade.

Students in Jr. High and High School (7th–12th grade) meet together during the 9:45 Sunday School hour for teaching and connection.

When I pull into the driveway, where do I go?

Our main entrances are located under the overhang—just look for the friendly faces ready to greet you with a smile and a warm handshake. From there, you’ll step into our main lobby, the center of our building.

In the lobby, you’ll find our Information Table, the Worship Center, and easy access to the hallway leading to adult Sunday School rooms and the Children’s Ministry check-in area.

How do I check my kids into the children’s area?

When you arrive, our Children’s check-in is down the hall from the main entrance. Greeters or the volunteer at the Information counter will be happy to point you in the right direction. There is a check-in counter in the Children’s area; an attendant there will be happy to help you check your kids in.

In the lobby, you’ll find our Information Table, the Worship Center, and easy access to the hallway leading to adult Sunday School rooms and the Children’s Ministry check-in area.

How do you take communion?

We celebrate communion every Sunday as a central part of our worship. All Christians are welcome to participate with us.

During worship, communion trays will be passed down the rows. Each set of cups is double-stacked—bread on the bottom, juice on top. Simply take a set and partake when you’re ready, as you reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus.

In the lobby, you’ll find our Information Table, the Worship Center, and easy access to the hallway leading to adult Sunday School rooms and the Children’s Ministry check-in area.

Other than Sunday mornings, when do you meet?

We offer a variety of fellowship opportunities, small groups, and Bible studies throughout the week—great ways to connect with others and grow in your faith.

Our youth group (7th–12th grade) meets every Wednesday night at 6:30 PM in the youth room, located upstairs at the far end of our Family Life Center. It’s a fun and welcoming space where students can build friendships and deepen their walk with Christ.

For ten weeks in the fall semester and 10 weeks in the spring semester, children, and some adult groups meet at the same time as our youth group.
